Care Society in association with Dhiragu is conducting a “Special Sport Festival” on 1st October 2011 solely for the Children/Persons with Disabilities. The purpose of this Festival would be to provide opportunity for children and adults with disabilities in various institutions to participate in a sports event. This will also create a platform for further collaboration among institutions and moreover provide a unique opportunity for persons with disabilities. This will serve as an opportunity for Care Society to advocate for the persons with disabilities. This festival would also be a stepping stone to the nationwide special sports event and also would be further developed and expanded based on the experience. Care Development Centre (Care Society), Jamaludhudheen School, Imaadhudheen School and Maldives Deaf Association will be participating in this festival. The sports items are flower picking, baton relay, water balloon relay, sand bag pulling, tunnel, water balancing and many more.
Time for practice and rehearsal:
Practices will be held from the 25th to the 28th at Henveiru Football Ground from 4-6pm.
There will be a full rehearsal on the 29th Thursday at Henveiru Football Ground from 4-6pm.
On Friday practice on Henveriu Football Ground will be from 9 – 11 am.

The charity film festival that was held at Olympus to fund raise for Care Soceity ended today. Today’s movie was specially for kids. Care Society would like to thank all the staff, parents, teachers and the volunteers for their hard work to make this festival a success. A special thank to the producers who contributed by giving their movies for this festival. We were able to rasie Mrf 72,365.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Hussain Haleem, Mr. Hussain Shameee, Mr. Ibrahim Riffath, Mr.Ibrahim Firashan and Mr.Umar Naseer for cotributing their time and effort to fundraise for Care Soceity by participating in the road race. This shows that there are people out there who CARE… Who are willing to contribute…Who appreciate our work…We need more people like them..
CDC students and the students of the Rainbow art club partcipated at the sports event organised by MNDF. This is the first ever such opportunity to the CDC students and the students as well as the parent’s and the teachers were more than happy to participate upon there invitation.
